Translations:
The price for a translation is calculated by standard lines in the target text. A standard line includes 55 characters and spaces. Lines started from 30 characters and spaces onward are fully calculated. Special field and deadline (express service) of the translation will also be considered in my offer.
I will be pleased to provide you an individual offer for your translation. Just send me your text (preferably as Word file) and let me know by when the translation is required, target language and for which purposes the translation is.
Interpreting:
My assignments as interpreter are calculated in full day (8 hrs.) or half-day (4 hrs.) rates (in some cases a hourly rate can be calculated, but only if a half/full day rate cannot be considered). A started hour is calculated as full hour. In the event that the assignment is on a Sunday, a legal holiday or night-time a surcharge of 25% per hour will be calculated (night-time is the time from 9pm to 6am). In case the assignment is taking several days, accommodation in a hotel needs to be provided by the customer as well as expenses for food and transport. Travel time and travel expenses are calculated as package price.
In order to provide you a professional interpretation service, I prepare myself thoroughly for each interpreting assignment. This preparation includes obtaining a deep insight into the special field and terminology that is used. Therefore I ask you to provide me as much preparation material as possible and as soon as possible.
Prices for interpreting vary with regards to topic, language combination, interpreting mode and level of difficulty. Please understand that I do not state any general prices on my homepage. I will be happy to provide you an individual quote once I have received all information about the interpreting assignment. Please provide me date, language, estimation of duration of the assignment, approximate number of participants, place and if the interpretation will be recorded. Once I have received all these details I will send you a quote and be happy to advise you with all further steps.
